Who Am I?
Who I am. I am a lifelong learner who enjoys finding creative solutions to complex problems. I find joy in accepting and completing a challenge. It is my passion for learning and development that has lead me to instructional design. As a former educator turned instructional designer and eLearning developer I enjoy using and stretching my skills to design courses that meet the needs of the client while also maintaining a learner centered approach.
My process & approach to solving problems. Learners come first. I always start by determining what the issue is, why is training being considered? Once I've identified the problem I set out in search of a solution, what training solution is the correct tool for the job? With the solution in mind, I begin my iterative design approach that allows feedback, evaluation, and review at every step. In the end, clients are left with a polished eLearning product that is learner focused. How I work with people. I thrive in collaborative environments. I strive to build trust and transparency into my relationships with peers, SME's, and stakeholders to ensure that we are all working toward the same goal. Outside of work. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new places with my husband and our small dog Doppler. While I haven't traveled to many of my foreign bucket list destinations, I have been fortunate to see and experience many parts of the United States. My little family has lived in New York, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Alaska, Nebraska, and Oregon. As a person who loves to learn and solve problems, you can often find me reading, solving word puzzles, challenging myself to learn new tasks, or doing basic home improvement projects. If you ask those who know me well, they will tell you I'm always ready for a challenge. What we can accomplish. I put learners first. If your organization would like to create modern learning experiences that align with with your organizations goals, I am confident we can design something to meet your needs.
